Post Kerala...
Almost 10 days later, I finally unpacked my rucksack from my Kerala trip. Unloaded my shopping from Singapore. After a long time of resisting the temptation to shop, I let loose on this trip. I bought 9 tops, 2 trousers and a pair of sandals. Plus, a trip to Arab St where I bought some lace and silk material for an outfit that I hadn't plan at all.
Mother's Day was a riot. I was lucky to get a flight to Singers to spend that special day with Ibu. She actually had a lunch organised with her hip hop Hejabs pals. Buffet spread at Straits Kitchen in Hyatt was fantastic. I was drooling and spoilt for choice. Everything was freshly cooked. Almost all asian delights were available. Since there were 12 other mothrs around, I had prepared lil giveaways for each of them consisting of a small purse handmade with rattan and had sequins sewn on. In it, a lil mirror, encrusted with colourful glass, ceramics and stardust. In the midst of lunch, there were prize exchange and giveaways for quizzes. Filled loads of laughter. Think our 2 tables were the noisiest.
Later in the evening, met up with Dev now wants to be known as MF and Pinky. Gorgeous wedding pics and gave the 2 gals their gifts. Got MF's birthday mixed up. Thought I was late in wishing her. But anyway, u got your lucky chain now, babe. Also, Macho Man now has a face and a name to him. Got to meet him in person. Well Pinky, he is what his nick says-tall and macho. Lucky u! Congrats to Pinky. May she be blessed with everlasting happiness...
Spent the nite in the hotel with Mf and Bro. Watched Discovery Channel when MF spotted young kids of a certain tribe in Cambodia smoking rolled up ciggies and pipes. Haha. Cool. MF had to snack on those jackfruit crackers. EEeuuuk. Brought sick memories just thinking of them. I had once overdose on those cracker on my holiday with my family and fell horribly sick. Stayed in the hotel room whilst the rest went out for a tour, Not good. Since then, no more mentioned of jackfruit crackers.
Lunch next day, we 3 overindulged in Sakae Sushi. Compared to Dubz, unagi is soooo cheap in Singsing. So, treat myself to plenty of unagi. Yes, MF, as instructed, I had given the book to Wolverine. He seemed to like it. The 'chair' is still giving me the 'vibes'. Hehehehehe...
Can't wait for my next trip to Singsing. HOpefully, MF will be present and get to catch up with more people. As for now, I'm off to Milan for the weekend. Ciao...
