The past few weeks, I had...

1. Been tourist again in Dubai coz my family was here to stay for 2 weeks. Lucky for them I only had 2 flights during their trip here. The extra days off I had, helped a lot. Ibu cooked some nice food whilst she was here. She made sambal belacan for us to stock up. My parents got addicted to my Korean series and had late nites watching episodes by episodes. Ayah's dreams to go swimmingat my pool and exercising in the gym didn't seem to materialise coz he was enjoying the comfort of my air conditioned apartment. The only exercise he managed was to slow jog from one end of the living room to the other. We all had really good eating out session. Lemongrass with Jenab and Tony Roma's bbq ribs on the last day. Whilst ayah was satisfied with the halal western food easily available here, Ibu was happy with her shopping. Bought too many kain and scarves. Lucky Jenab was around to guide us through the souk as in where is good to buy what. I am hopeless in that kind of shopping..

2. A brief fever due to Streptococcus, again..

3. Yet to catch up with Divo J****.. Heh.. Nanti bila penat aku hilang aku tepon kau k..

4. Gone on a roadtrip to Mussandam,Oman with Vicky Virtue, Sharky, Ivan, Sonia, and my family. It had been a hilarious one. We got lost a few times due to Vicky's no sense of directions. We arrived in a town with no one in sight coz it's a Thurs afternoon-in the middle eastern world it's their version of a Saturday which means half day. Sharky's jeep couldn't be insured coz offices were closed that afternoon. It seemed then that we were on a set of a ghost or texan movie. We could hear in our heads, the western music playing in the background and imagined the villain appears with guns out from his sides. Or we were in Living Dead movie set where suddenly, the sky gets darker and the zombies appear. It was quite a scene then, to have 2 Spanish, 1 Brit , 1 Kiwi and a S'poren family stuck in the midst of a silent town. We found a cafe which took 30 mins just to serve drinks and forgot all about the only food order-a beef burger for my bro.

Our hotel was an old building with very basic facilities. Sharky bunked in with me n family in an adjoining room. With just one toilet between the 2 rooms, it was a bit of an experience for all of us. However, the hotel's cafe, served the BEST mango juice ever. We were all addicted to it. We had a farewell glass each before we checked out.

Anyway, we did a dhow trip to see dolphins and remote fishing villages which only had 100 people living on it. We had the Shoobtees dancing to the latest Bollywood disco tunes on board. I think their singing scared the dolphins away. Huh.

Everywhere around us were rocky mountains and rocky roads. It's amazing to see that there are people who lives in the midst of these rocky mountains in very small communities. Our drive also seemed like we were on a safari trip. Goats eating from trash cans and chewing on cardboard boxes instead of grass. Desert foxes running across the roads with eyes which really glow in the dark. Dolphins surfing with the waves creared by passing boats.

During the snorkelling stop, my bro got his foot on a sea urchin. So you'll see one of the pics where Ibu was trying to picked the spikes out and my bro smoking the pain away..

5. Learnt a bit of Spanish from Ivan and Sonia. And they learnt a bit of Malay from me. Unlike her bf, Sonia speaks verrrry little english. So it was amazing to see how she and my mum managed to communicate and understand each other. Body language was very effective indeed.

6. Found out the SHO CHOs in Spanish means cunt. And this is the name of a well known bar/restaurant in Dubai. But I guess the name suits the place coz there are plenty of 'cunts' posing around there.

I am at this moment knackered. With everyone gone now, I am back to normality. Some quality time with Sharky. I just need to chill for a bit before my trip to UK with Jonah end of this month. I will have to show her London city coz for the 4 yrs she has been flying, she never once went to tour the city. Ish ish ish.. So Jonah , go easy on me inflight and I promise you London city when we arrive k..

The pics are not in order so just look look see see lah..heh..
