DVD marathon, Minah and more...

Yes! I have successfully completed Desperate Housewives-Season 2 and midway through Nip/Tuck- Season 3. I know I know. It's not much of an accomplishment. Not as if I had just got a medal of honor or degree in science or wateva. It just felt so good to finally have those few days in bed watching tv in my bedroom. Wasn't being anti-social with my other flatmates, just wanna zone out. After Nip/Tuck, me gonna start on 'Lost'. Plus points of these dvds, they prevent me from going shopping unnecessarily. Heh.

Today is the beginning of my 3 days off. I downloaded loads of Malay slow rock from my era. Aha. My minahness is slowly emerging. As much as a ching chong I may look, the many ching chong frenz I used to hangout with and the many ching ching food that I eat (not babi k), I have to admit I am still a bit of a minah at heart. I realised it after that one nite spent with Dom and Terry at Bedok Corner. That drink stall was blasting the rock bands from late 80s and early 90s. Febians-Rumi & Juli, Ekamatra, Blackrose, Search, Wings, etc etc. Surprisingly, I could sing along to the lyrics. To think those songs I have not heard for many years since I switched to 98.7FM since I was 13. I do admit that I still randomly listen to selected Malay singers and mostly Indon singers. I am very bad with artists' names and song titles. But when a particular song plays, I can actually sing a along. So now Dom's lappy is full of my 'rok melayu' songs. Rock never dies! Yeah! Apa je...

This morning I had the best bacon ever, beef that is. Best thing about Dubai is that u can easily get halal ingredients and meat. My fav are turkey bacon, beef bacon (Dom said it's like the real thing!), salami, meatloaf, etc etc. I had a whole packet of beef bacon for brekkie and now I am feeling sick from all the fats. But they were sooooo fattylicious. Thinking wat to do for the whole of today. Dom is around, so no series marathon. Hmmmm...

Huh. Wat a long boring blog this is. Anyway, Sue getting married but I am not bothered to try to swap my flights to attend to her wedding neither do I want to trouble my folks to attend it as well. Well people, don't just keep in touch and be nice to yor old pals again just because u wanna add on more people to your guestlist. Sometimes, I can see my future wedding list getting shorter and shorter. Heh.
