The Pre Holiday Holiday...

I swapped my Shanghai for a trip to the so much talked about island of paradise-Seychelles. Though the stay there was just 33hrs, it was a good one. It was Posh Lim's last flight and we spent both nites having teppanyaki for dinner. Usually, I'd go for local food but trust me, the look of the Creole buffet enuff was enuff to put me off. We were lucky not to join the rest of the crew coz they couldn't digest anytin out of the Creole buffet. Ended up eating only the grilled fish and dry steam rice.
For those who planned to go to Seychelles, be warned, everything is soooooo freakin expensive. the local currency, Seychelles Rupees can't be exchange to any other currency (Euros or USD) unless u have the receipt as to where u got the rupees from. Don't expect to buy any souveniours. A small wooden fish magnet with a sticker labelled Seychelles would cost u USD 9.00. A stupid face towel which is badly dyed pale pink with a fish pic and marker pen scribbled 'seychelles' cost USD 18.00. A small bottle of mineral water in the hotel cost USD 3 whilst in town it will cost USD 0.80. In the hotel room I stayed, they provided tea/coffee making facilities but if u gonna use the provided tea/coffee/sugar sachets, you will be charged USD 2.50. Your money is worth spending on a really nice resort and boat trips for those who love snorkelling and diving.
Scenery was beautiful. How the island looked like? Well, they are generally low income (that's y we wondered how they can afford to buy anytin). The houses will remind u of the kampong estates in Malaysia or Thailand. Some of the houses are built halfway. The locals speak Creole which is a mix of French and their local slang. They have Indian and African mixed look. Islanders are very laid back. So if u want something to be done, it will take ages. Overall, it was a nice trip for me and Posh. Good luck to her.
Datin Juling's 24th...

So another birthday for the new year. 2 days before Valentine's, Juling celebrated her 24th at mine. She smsed me while I was in Seychelles so I couldn't reply to say I will be there for her pizza party. Apparently she was abit emo coz she thought nobody was gonnabe around for her bday. Poor Datin. The moment I landed, I texted her. I haven't got her a gift, so my gift to her is to make lasagne and bake a cake. And so, the chimney was smoking once again from the famous kitchen of Sahara 1506. Guests who attended - Ms Marlene, Ruth, Endy and Vicky, Sharky and of coz the bday gal-Ms 001.
After a huge dinner of lasagne and 4 boxes of pizza, we headed down to Carter's. Juling managed to get extra drink coupons by telling the bouncer it was her bday. So the drinks all nite was free!
Oh yes! Joke for the nite. As usual our Datin Juling. Over dinner I was telling them that who was on my flight to Seychelles.
----------------
Me: Guess wat? Sarah Ferguson was on my flight.
Others: Really?? How was she like??
Juling: Oh. Sarah Ferguson. I know who. Alex Ferguson's wife.
Me: Huh? No she is the Duchess of York. Connected to Britain's royalty.
Juling: Sure? Isn't she Alex Ferguson's wife??
Endy: Alex Ferguson is a famous football coach.
Sharky: Ann, it's like saying evryone with the surname Wong is related!
Juling: (With a frown) Are u sure? How come I dunno who this Sarah Ferguson is if she is not Alex Ferguson's wife??
--------------------
And we all just go hahhhaahahahhahahahhahahaha... Datin Juling, ever so innocent and lovable and so straight faced. We love you, OOI ANN ANN! Hope you had had a great bday and enjoyed your cute Hello Kitty notepad toaster fm Dom.
14 Feb - The V Day...
I am not much of a flower person. So I told Dom to skip the flower bits. So we had a very quiet but yet sweet and intimate Valentine's Day. My gift to him, a handmade card with mushy confesson of love in Malay for him to translate. His gift to me:

Hah! Coz I have been hogging his game boy, he decided to get me one. Pearl Pink game boy which he personalised himself with Hello Kitty and jewel stones stickers. So now I am hooked to Tiny Toons Wacker Stackers. Thank you, Domster! I love you! Eeeeeew...mushy mushy...but still..we love it..hehhheheh
