Just passed 'The Test'...
Sharky's folks left yesterday after 2 and the half weeks' stay. They finally completed their 5 weeks' vacation. From UK to Oz to Dubdub and back to the cold North. Got to admit it, the house felt empty again when they left. It was nice to have them around-a whole family.
Aunty Jud had hugged and kissed me. Before Uncle Mike got into the cab, he said, ' Yeti, you passed The Test!' I stood at the gate and grinned.
Sharky admitted that he was beginning to miss his folks for the first time. He never felt that way the other few visits he had from his folks. Maybe we all come to a realisation that our folks are getting older and we don't know how much time we have left with them.
I don't know how many tests in life I will have to go through but I know I will manage them all the same.
